  • Carbon Filtration: Enhances taste by removing chlorine and organic compounds. It does not have disinfecting properties on its own.


  • Sediment Filtration: Traps larger particles and debris but cannot remove microorganisms.


Combining UV filtration with these methods ensures a thorough and layered approach to water purification. For example, water may pass through a sediment filter, then a carbon filter, followed by reverse osmosis, and finally UV disinfection—resulting in water that is both clean and biologically safe.
